About Michael Robson (GB)
Michael is a professional landscape painter working in Fife, Scotland. His work is founded on the practice of painting outdoors in the impressionist manner, recording directly the effects of light he observes around him. His paintings seek to communicate his visual and emotional sensitivity to his local environment.
Graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 2003, Michael has exhibited with the RSA, RSW and SSA in Edinburgh, and the RI, ROI and RWS in London. Accolades include the Phyllis Roberts Prize at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in London, 2009, and the Caran D’Ache Award, 2010.
