About Willem van Roozendaal (NL)
WHO IS WILLEM
He has earned his spurs in the design world in which he has worked on special packaging designs for Autodrop Douwe Egberts La Paz Heineken Kruidvat Bolletje Lidl etc.etc.
A few years ago he sold his shares in BRUM design. Since then, after an intensive restoration period of 16 months, he has been living in a national monument at Havik 2 where he has a beautiful historic Studio.
After years of experimenting in all kinds of directions, Willem finally found his inspiration in the haute couture and fashion magazines and went all out for art. Artist Willem van Roozendaal is inspired by Andy Warhol David Lachapelle and his canvases have an emotional affinity with the work of Marc Chagall.
In addition, there are the influences of his travels through South America India Spain and Morocco. He combines the mystical and everyday through the use of different printing and painting techniques. He calls himself a Grafic DJ. The paintings often consist of more than 20 mixed image layers. Through contemporary compositions, the artist makes a remix of the visible so that the invisible with our conversation inspires and emotions.
