MUNK the painter
MUNK
I had a need to hit a nerve that could not be seen in my previous works. The realization of loving the painting highly and loving the simple but complex. To get to the core, I ended up happily acknowledging that I love pastel colors and I love the motifs I have already made before. Those things really come to the fore in this new expression.
The motifs are a mixture of motifs I have worked with a lot in the past. Wings, the monk expression, horns as well as the impressions I pick up in my life. Now I mix it together and stay in a much less colorful universe. Especially the colors are important in this. From working with color explosions for 20 years, my maturity as an artist is hitting. Now we have to keep all the "wild" inside behind and just let the wild grow behind the pastel-colored large surface on the canvas.
