The last resort
From my 'Through a glass darkly' series #2. This is a comment on the futility of prayer. I have depicted prayer as close to begging. This is for the many whose prayers goes un-answered and are cruelly told that their faith is not strong enough.
The last dance 2021
First of my series 'Through a glass darkly'. Based around the last of everything and using a technique that does not require too much brushwork. Oil on board
Warhol
A homage to a man of his own invention. Acrylic on board 2021.
Monday
The sheer drudge on Monday morning and the beginning of the routine. The rat-race. Watercolour on A3 paper.
Mixed-race
A naïve attempt to explain the confusion of being a mixed race person expressed in watercolour on paper.
waiting for the big one
The anticipation and excitement of being near the sea (even in the UK)
'Off to the food bank'
It's a sad fact that food banks proliferate in the UK now. People and perhaps worse, children are going hungry. This is a painting formed from anger.
'Things to come'
The future.
'What just happened?'
A study of the sudden deterioration of the physical that comes to us all
'Selfie'
A modern day obsession
